Will we ever know the full extent? Will the last of the redacted documents held by the US government on the JFK Assassination answer our questions? Will we ever know the truth? This two part documentary explores the archive footage of the time, new redacted documents released by the US government and eye witness statements to debunk conspiracies that have lasted more than 60 years.
The idea the Lee Harvey Oswald (LHO) was the lone shooter, has its flaws, and while we are not going to rule this out, the facts behind the CIA’s involvement in the JFK administration, the strains between their relationships does not rule out their involvement in a plan to move the Kennedy brothers out of rule.
The crack down on organised crime by Bobby Kennedy gives elements of the Mafia motive to start at the top and work down, eliminating people in their way. The Kennedy family secrets were rife, did these affect the administration?
In order to explore all the conspiracies around the assassination of JFK, the questions that surround the death, the family and the Kennedy Administration, we need to go back and look at the years before his presidency.
After the end of the Second World War, the effects of fascism were shocking and the rise of communism was worrying. The United States formed the CIA to assert itself against the communist powers of the world. To protect its people.
By 1960 John F Kennedy has thrown his hat in the ring, and has teamed with Lyndon Johnson in a presidential campaign.
It is rumoured that his family connections with the mafia helped him win the campaign.
When JFK made it into the Oval Office he was faced with overwhelming decisions that would pin him between winning the will of the people, or the CIA. However political tensions were high, and JFK was making his move into the presidential world, with bold initial campaigns.
On 22nd November 1963, President Kennedy arrives in Dallas for what will be a fateful day. At 12.30pm he is shot, and the bullet kills him. Panic and chaos ensues. The Secret Services, the FBI, Dallas Police an the Kennedy family pull every resource to find the assassin on the run.
Less than an hour and half later Lee Harvey Oswald is arrested, and detained for apparently killing a police officer, and later charged with the assassination of the president. But how did this happen? Who was at fault for the lack of security? Was it planned? Who would murder the President?
This two part series sets out the facts, the lesser known facts, and the questions still left unanswered. How can we start to move forward, after 60 years and do the newly released documents by the US Government start to answer some of these questions?
