DAVID HOOPER
MANAGING DIRECTOR
As the Managing Director, David oversees all acquisitions, co-productions and sales, maintaining partnerships with contacts across the industry. Previously an editor, producer and director, David founded Espresso in 1992. Initially serving as a production company developing strands for the BBC and TVS (ITV), David then switched his focus to international TV distribution in the late 1990s. Recent EP credits include War Above the Trenches.

COLETTE WEBBER
ACQUISITIONS MANAGER AND SALES EXECUTIVE
Colette joined Espresso as a Sales and Acquisitions Executive in the spring of 2025. Prior to this, she worked as a Senior Executive at factual distributor TVFI, consulted for the BFI FAN network, and worked as a programmer for Screen25, an independent cinema in South London. Colette holds a degree in English from Oxford University and a master’s in Film and Television from the University of Glasgow.
SARAH DERBYSHIRE
SALES EXECUTIVE
Sarah joined Espresso in the Autumn of 2024. Prior to this, she has worked for several years in the media industry, having held previous roles at Entertainment One (eOne), Sony Pictures and Disney, working across Channel Acquisitions, Programming and Distribution. As part of her role, she also assists with Rights Management.

TOM BAIRSTOW
SALES CONSULTANT
With over 20 years experience in the Film and TV industry, Tom has held roles at both major U.S. studios and the independent sector, including Sony Pictures, Paramount Television, Kew Media, Fireworks International and Target Entertainment.
Tom has an in-depth understanding of the global market and a great passion for content; with extensive experience in devising and implementing sales and windowing strategies across all media and platforms internationally.
INES PLOMION
SOCIAL MEDIA EXECUTIVE & SALES CO-ORDINATOR
Ines joined the Espresso team in summer 2024 and now serves as Social Media Executive and Sales Coordinator. She shapes the company’s social media presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Amazon; drives the visibility of new titles, market attendance and press coverage, and oversees the systems and contracts that underpin the Sales team’s day-to-day operations, from buyer agreements to festival logistics.
Currently studying a Master’s in Digital Asset and Media Management at King’s College London, Ines brings academic grounding in the industry to her work across acquisitions, sales support and communications — balancing her studies with her professional role.
